Work, Work, Work

We have spent the past week in Guest Services Agent training. Although this is our third year working in these positions at Yellowstone, attending training is mandatory. It really isn't as bad as it sounds. Invariably there are changes to the computer system, and spending this time with our co-workers allows us to get to know one another and to really form a team. However, with that said, we are so ready to get this computer training over and to get down to Fishing Bridge RV Park, where we will be for the season.

Training has not taken up 100% of our time. We always seem to manage to get out and about every now and then. One day we had the afternoon off so Bill and I drove down through Hayden Valley and to the Lake Area of the Park. The word for the day is s-n-o-w!

Here is a photo of the Yellowstone River meandering through Hayden Valley.

A lone coyote traipsing through Hayden Valley.

Yellowstone Lake is still frozen. Rumor has it that the ice is three feet thick.

A coyote we saw near Fishing Bridge. The past two years, we have had a coyote den near our RV Park. Hopefully, this year will be the same. Seeing the little pups is amazing.

And the final shot of the day: A heron in flight above the Yellowstone River.

Family of four leaves for Yellowstone in 4 weeks. We love reading your blog and looking at the beautiful pictures. We are from Louisiana and are hoping there will still be some snow for us to see! Please keep the pictures and stories coming!
